Like many reputable kung fu schools, past students often proclaim being a senior student of a particular Master. The following lists denotes the senior students of Si-Gung Roger Smart whom have attained level 8 (full black sash) or above over the entire history of the School.
Wing Chun Style
There are no universally accepted levels of kung fu competence, including any levels defined within any one system taught between different Schools. The Roger Smart's Studio of Martial Arts has adopted a 12 level system that incorporates the teaching of the different Wing Chun versions of Foshan, Hong Kong.
In recent years, the requirements for each level have increased and the order the varying Wing Chun versions are taught has also changed. The following list of senior students (i.e., Level 8, Full Black sash or above) span across all of the years of the School’s instruction. The names noted below attained these levels in accordance with the systems taught at the particular time of their training.

Level 7 of the Wing Chun system wear a black sash, however it is a Provisional Black grade and does not represent a senior practitioner level. Apart from those listed above, there are no other senior students of the School, past or present.
No student is permitted to establish their own school unless they have reached the level of Si-Fu.
Fu-Jow Kuen Style
The School now teaches the styles of Tai Sing Pap Kar Moon and Fu-Jow Kuen together under the style name of Tai Sing Pap Kar Fu-Jow Kuen.

The Tai Sing Pap Kar Fu Jow Kuen system practitioners keep the traditional of wearing a sash in its original sense, hence all non-senior students wear a black sash that does not represent the same meaning as that of Wing Chun practitioners.
No student is permitted to establish their own school unless they have reached the level of Si-Fu.
Apart from those listed above, there are no other senior students of the School, past or present. The School takes seriously any individual that falsely claims the reputation, right or authority of a senior student of Si-Gung Roger Smart.
