As the history of kung fu is so shrouded in legend, being initially passed from Master to student, it is often mixed with fable and results in many different and varying versions. Given the truth of history prior to written documentation may probably never be ascertained, the historic information provided on this site represents the history most accepted as true as taught by the Roger Smart’s Studio of Martial Arts. Given the complexities of the Chinese language to its various dialectics of English translations, the Chinese names of practitioners, past and present, and the terminology used in this site may vary between Schools, resulting in differences in opinion. The terminology used in this site reflects that accepted and taught by the businesses and Kung Fu Schools owned by C.A.R.E. Pty Ltd.
